MHT-CET 2027 Attempts and Dates: What We Know So Far

MHT-CET (CET) now has two attempts, and the question every Class 12 family in Maharashtra is asking is when they will be held in 2027. As of 9 October 2026, the State CET Cell had not published the 2027 schedule on its website. What follows separates what is reported from what is official.

What has been reported

News reports in October 2026 say the state has decided to hold both 2027 attempts after the Class 12 board examinations, rather than one in December, with roughly four weeks between them and the better score counted for students who take both. An earlier plan had placed the first attempt in December 2026 and January 2027.

Until the CET Cell publishes its notice and information brochure, treat these as reports, not decisions.

What it would mean for preparation

• Boards first, then CET. With both attempts after the boards, the months before February belong to finishing and revising the Class 12 syllabus well — which is also what CET rewards.
• Do not save the Class 11 syllabus for later. A meaningful share of CET questions come from Class 11. It is easier to keep it alive with weekly revision than to rebuild it in April.
• Use the first attempt properly. If two attempts are held and the better score counts, the first one is a real attempt, not a rehearsal. Prepare for it as if it were the only one.
• Practise for speed now. CET has no negative marking and little time per question. Accuracy and speed in MHT-CET shows how to build both.

Where to check

Dates, the number of attempts and the scoring rule will be settled by the CET Cell's official notice and brochure on its website. Where the official updates come from explains how to check a forwarded message against it.
