Choosing MHT-CET (CET) Classes in Nashik: 7 Checks for Parents
MHT-CET is a speed exam built on the State Board syllabus. Seven CET-specific checks — online mocks, rank reports, Class 12 weightage, CAP help — for comparing coaching in Nashik.
Parents usually call it CET; the official name is MHT-CET. Either way it is a different exam from JEE: built on the Maharashtra State Board syllabus, taken on a computer, and decided largely by speed and accuracy. These seven checks are specific to MHT-CET. For the general questions, see how to choose a coaching class in Nashik.
1. Are the mock tests online, like the real exam?
MHT-CET is a computer-based test, so practising on paper only is not enough. Ask whether full mocks are taken online. At DV40, MHT-CET mock tests are online, and every student gets a score and a rank report.
2. Is the syllabus weighting right?
Class 12 topics carry most of the paper, but Class 11 topics still appear. Ask how revision is split between the two years, and check the CET Cell's information brochure each year for the current pattern.
3. Is speed trained, not just taught?
Most CET marks are lost to time, not to not knowing. Ask how speed is practised — timed sets, sectional tests, review of slow questions. MHT-CET accuracy and speed explains the method.
4. Does the plan fit alongside JEE Main and the boards?
Many students write JEE Main, the Class 12 board and MHT-CET in the same season. Ask how the timetable handles all three. MHT-CET vs JEE Main shows where they differ.
5. Will someone explain percentiles and ranks?
CET results come as percentiles, which confuse many families. Ask whether the institute explains what a mock percentile means for college options. See MHT-CET percentile explained.
6. Is there help after the result?
Admission happens through the CAP process, with choices to fill and rounds to follow. Ask whether guidance is offered. At DV40, CAP guidance is free for our own students; others can get it for a nominal charge. After MHT-CET: how admission works covers the steps.
7. Will you hear how your child is doing?
Ask how mock results reach parents. At DV40 results are shared through the year, and prelim feedback is given one-to-one with parents.
Where DV40 fits
We run MHT-CET (CET) coaching in Nashik offline at our Panchavati centre near Jatra Hotel, Monday to Saturday, with fixed batch timings per standard. We do not run a crash course; the programme follows Class 11 and 12. CBSE students can join the entrance batches too.
To see how this works at our Panchavati centre, book a free counselling session — you meet the subject faculty with a parent present, and nothing is decided on the spot.
We cap batch size deliberately, because attention does not scale. Tell us a little about the student and we will call you back with batch availability.
