NEET Chemistry: What to Prioritise When Time Is Short
Chemistry sits between Biology and Physics in most students' attention and gets a strategy borrowed from whichever they prefer. It needs its own.
NEET Chemistry is the subject students are least deliberate about. Biology gets a method, Physics gets anxiety, and Chemistry gets whatever is left over — usually the study habits of whichever of the other two the student prefers.
Three branches, three methods

Inorganic is the fastest available gain
For NEET specifically, Inorganic is close to pure NCERT. It is predictable, it rarely surprises, and students postpone it because memorisation feels unglamorous. If your Chemistry score is inconsistent and you are short on time, start here — it converts effort into marks faster than the other two.
Organic: learn the logic, not the reactions
Electron-rich and electron-poor sites, leaving groups, stability of intermediates. Get those secure and most reactions become predictable. Students who memorise reaction lists can reproduce them and cannot apply them.
Physical: it is a Physics problem
Same failure modes — unit errors, dropped factors, arithmetic slips. Same fix: keep an error log, sort by type, drill the recurring one.
Where NCERT is and is not enough
Inorganic: close to sufficient.
Organic: necessary but not sufficient — you need problem practice beyond it.
Physical: the theory yes, the numericals no.

Which branch should I fix first?
Whichever your error log says. If you do not have one, start with Inorganic — it is the quickest return.
How much time should Chemistry get?
Roughly a third. Most students give it noticeably less and then wonder why it is inconsistent.
Can I skip Physical Chemistry numericals?
No. They are among the most reliably scoring questions in the paper once the method is secure.
