Diagram labels, tables and example organisms are heavily examined and lightly revised. They are the cheapest marks in the paper.
Ask a NEET aspirant to revise a Biology chapter and they will read the text. Ask them to reproduce the diagram with every label, and most cannot — despite having "revised" it three times.
NEET examines those labels directly.
None of this is difficult. It is simply not part of most students' definition of revision.
Not neatly — quickly. The drawing does not matter; the labels do. Compare against NCERT, repair only the gaps.
Write the row and column headers, then fill in from memory. Comparison tables in particular are almost purpose-built to become exam questions.
One page per unit, of every named example. Revisit it on the same cycle as the chapters.
Cover them, look at the figure, say what it shows.
Plant and animal anatomy, morphology, biotechnology processes, ecology classifications, and the reproductive units — all diagram- and table-dense, all high-yield.
Add it to the retrieval pass rather than treating it as separate work. When you reconstruct a chapter on a blank page, reconstruct the diagram and the table too. It adds a few minutes and it is the part most likely to appear verbatim.
No. NEET is objective — you are never marked on a drawing. You are drawing to test recall of the labels.
No. NCERT diagrams are what NEET examines. Other books add variations you will not be asked about.
